The Fastest Route to Your Best Life is a Spiral

The Spiral: our most ancient and perfect symbol/model of Life itself.  The simplest and most profound within One structure - One form.  Progress/progression is marked by Include and Transcend the area preceding.   When we extrapolate, the Spiral also offers what is not Natural to Life: doubling back, second-guessing, tangents.

When we can live an Integral Life: following this model of Life/Reality itself, we Include and Transcend as we Progress.  We don’t divert from the Path to go backward, stop moving, or go off on tangents.  We don’t create a digital construct of 0s and 1s where we separate ourselves from Nature (thus each other.)  We relax

into ourselves, knowing that our Essential Nature is to flow along this Spiral Path of Including and Transcending.  Choices shift from either/or, to how can I Include what is relevant to choose a Transcending Solution on a Path of Progression.

This may seem complex at first blush, but it’s actually far simpler than how we tend to live day-to-day in “the Matrix” of our mental constructs.  We’ve invented most of the obstacles to our Natural Progression.  We can remove those obstacles by removing the mental constructs that are UnNatural anyway.

By creating a parallel Universe in our minds, where how we think things “should” be is the “reality” we compare with Reality, we create a great rift.  From this rift pours disappointment, frustration, and anger.  The greater the rift (the distance between how things are, and how our mentally constructed Universe is) the greater the amplitude (loudness) of our disappointment, frustration, and anger.

The smaller the rift between our internal reality and Reality, the lower the amplitude of our disappointment, frustration, and anger.  This can really only be achieved through Acceptance of the Essential Nature of the Universe.  The are some people who will relate more to the words “Surrender to God,” and without mentally constructing an either/or, you can see that these are merely semantic variations of the same thing.  Circling back, and yet now with more information included, this “soliloquy” follows our Integral model: the Spiral.

Putting this concept into action is easier than you might think.  Thinking tends to jump in front of Nature and start carving it into bits (0s and 1s)  for understanding, thus removing them from the context that would make the understanding Integral.  This may sound ludicrous, but let it percolate for a minute: Thinking is done at a superior level when it is done as Consciously as possible.  This means being Aware of the Mental Constructs themselves (“the Matrix.”)

It is far more difficult to work with rules seeking to cover all contingencies, than to work with a core Ethos.  Contingencies can be infinite, thus chasing them will be futile and frustrating.  (Frustration being a function of the distance between Reality and that mentally constructed Universe where you actually can cover all contingencies.)  When you work with a core Ethos, decision-making is merely about looking at that initial model of Life/Universe; the Spiral.  Which choice will Include you, me, our best interests, the task at hand, and will take us further on the Path of Progression; Transcending the problem with an Integral solution.  Think: Spiral.

If I am caught up in you OR me, your best interests OR mine, the task at hand OR one of us feeling more power over the other, and not progressing, but stopping, doubling back, or going off in a tangent, you can see that this is far more difficult.  This is behind most of the stress and lack of progress in our lives.  It is a direct contradiction to the Nature of the Universe.  Isn’t that the definition of stress and discomfort?  Doesn’t it make far more sense from a logical, ethical, spiritual, emotional sense to just relax and take our decision-making cues from the Nature of the Universe?

Granted, this takes a phenomenal shift in our way of doing things.  We need to awaken to the fact that our attachment to how we do things now is our attachment to the results we’re getting now.  If we want different results, we need to change our approaches, and that means doing away with those attachments.  Look at Galaxies, Nautilus shells, water down a drain, wind coming up off of warm water, and you see the Nature of the Universe, the Nature of your Self: the Spiral.
